Millers Suffer Humbling Loss
The Houston Comets romped over the Minneapolis Millers, 13-3, at Dalton Domed Stadium. Jerry Robinson led the way. He went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for Houston. By defeating Minneapolis, the second-place Comets improved to 41-35.

Stan Francis hit a 2-run double off Hank Wagner in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Comets in front, 5-3. In addition to the double, Francis had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.

"The offense, man, just relentless at-bats," said winning manager Glenn Carney.
