Kansas City took on Montreal in front of a lively crowd.

The Kansas City Kings got a stellar effort from pitcher Beau McClellan, helping Kansas City score a win over the visiting Montreal Saints, 5-2. Kansas City, now 56-56, holds down 5th place in the Continental Association.

The Kings got a big at-bat from first baseman Hank Williams. For the game, Williams was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 29th home run of the season gave Kansas City a 2-0 lead.

Williams told a Kansas City Citizen reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
