| Forrester Hits 2 home runs in Suns Win | Pioneer Field III was the site for Federal Association action featuring the St. Louis Pioneers and Los Angeles Suns.
The Los Angeles Suns downed the St. Louis Pioneers, 7-4, at Pioneer Field III. The Suns were led by Sam Forrester. Forrester hit 2 home runs. He scored 4 runs and drove in 3. Picking up his 2nd save was 29-year old right-handed pitcher George Cox.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Ed Mooney? The Los Angeles catcher had a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Suns on top, 5-3. For the game, Mooney had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Mooney told the Los Angeles Times.
Los Angeles is now 45-31. | |
