Miners Beat New York, 5-4 | The Pittsburgh Miners overcame a pretty good performance by New York right fielder Rex Pilcher, beating the Gothams, 5-4, in 12 innings. Pilcher went 2 for 5 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Alex Vaughan finished to wrap up his 2nd save. Pittsburgh is last in the Federal Association with a record of 45-68.
Roy Snedden was 2-5 with 2 singles and a walk against the Gothams. With the game tied in the top of the 12th inning, he grounded out, driving in 1 run that put Pittsburgh in front, 5-4.
