Cleveland Foresters starter Jake Pearson found his groove in his team's 4-1 win over the Montreal Saints. Pearson, now 5-0, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 6, and allowing 1 run. The win gives Cleveland a record of 16-10.

Tom Carr had a big run-scoring triple for the Foresters in the bottom of the third inning. With Cleveland leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a curveball from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Duke Edin and swatted a triple to right. It was his 4th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Foresters ahead, 2-0.

"Jake did a good job of managing their lineup," said Cleveland manager Jim Whitehead.
