| Chiefs Reel In 7-3 Win | John Thomas, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1961 draft, had a strong outing for the Chicago Chiefs against the Los Angeles Suns at Whitney Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 7-3 win. In 9 innings, Thomas surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs. Los Angeles falls to 9-7.
