Foresters Get Clutch Win Versus Toronto
The Cleveland Foresters defeated the Toronto Wolves, 4-3, in 14 innings in Continental Association action at Forester Stadium. Cleveland pitcher Dick Couture had a standout performance. The win was credited to 26-year old right-handed pitcher Ed Squires in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ken Jeffrie took the loss. The 4th-place Foresters have won 4 in a row.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 14th for Cleveland. That's when Reggie Anderson hit a solo home run off 26-year old left-handed pitcher Ken Jeffrie to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"Our guys refused to lose," said Anderson.
