Minutemen Use Late Score to Top Pioneers, 6-5
The Boston Minutemen weathered an outstanding game by St. Louis left fielder Danny Davis to topple the Pioneers, 6-5. Davis was 3-4 with 3 singles. He scored 2 times. The win lifted the Boston record to 20-18.

Bill Newhall came through with a big-time hit for Boston. The right fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Newhall.
