| Cleveland Stumbles Again, Falls, 5-3, to Montreal | Montreal Saints starter Tommy Jackson pitched a strong game against the Cleveland Foresters at Forester Stadium, leading the Saints to victory, 5-3. Montreal reliever Bob Nelson picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Ed Squires was saddled with the loss. At 31-42, the Saints are currently last in the Continental Association East.
Max Morgan provided a timely hit. The Montreal pinch hitter delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Saints on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
"We're in a funk right now," said Cleveland skipper Ray Parsons.
