| Kings Roll to 8-2 Win Over Stars | The Seattle Kings and starting pitcher Moe Lowery stifled the Los Angeles offense en route to a comfortable 8-2 win at Seattle Municipal Stadium. With the win, the Kings have a record of 51-25.
Jesse Walker had a big 2-run double for the Kings in the bottom of the first inning. With Seattle trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from Vean Conrad, who finished 5th in the FA in wins with 17 in 1972, and swatted a double to center. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Kings ahead, 2-1.
"I thought Moe threw the ball well across the board," said Seattle manager Alex Watt. | |
