The result might have been different, had it not been for 23-year old third baseman Jim Wise. Wise had a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Minutemen ahead, 2-0. For the game, Wise had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Washington manager Joe D'Aprile.
