| Montreal Topples New York, 4-2 | Montreal turned a good performance from starting pitcher Don Curtis into a 4-2 triumph over the New York Imperials at Stade Montreal. Miguel Hernandez earned the save for Montreal, his 15th. With the win, Montreal pushed its record to 38-36.
Montreal left fielder Bill Gilman helped the Saints go up, 3-2, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Gilman hit a run-scoring single off New York pitcher Jim White.
"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Curtis.
