| Los Angeles Gets 4-2 Win | The Los Angeles Suns got a good effort from starter Moe Powell in defeating the Minneapolis Millers at Hennepin County Stadium. The final score was 4-2. Ron Clark closed the game out for Los Angeles, earning his 18th save. With the victory, the Suns upped their record to 43-29.
Los Angeles used the timely hitting of Larry Hurlbutt to capture the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Suns on top, 4-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"Moe did a good job of shutting their lineup down," said Los Angeles manager Jim Coulter.
