Foresters Defeat Cougars, 4-1
The Cleveland Foresters picked up a win at Cougars Park, knocking off the Chicago Cougars, 4-1. On the mound for Cleveland was right-hander Adrian Czerwinski. He played a key role in the triumph. Sibby Smith got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. Cleveland, now 9-6, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Cleveland won the game in part because of Otis O'Keefe. The right fielder ripped a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Foresters ahead, 2-1, in 11 innings. For the game, O'Keefe had 1 double and 1 home run in 2 at-bats.

"Took some scratching and clawing," said Czerwinski. "But we got it done."
