Thanks in large part to second baseman Al Farmer, the Cincinnati Cannons beat the Cleveland Foresters, 7-3. Farmer went 3 for 5 with a triple and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI. The 5th-place Cannons now have a record of 52-51.

In the top of the third, Farmer had a 2-run triple for Cincinnati. It was his 5th triple of the season and put the Cannons on top, 2-0.

"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Farmer.
