Wolves Upend Foresters, 6-1 | Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Toronto Wolves and Cleveland Foresters.
The Toronto Wolves topped the Cleveland Foresters, 6-1, in Continental Association action at Dominion Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Toronto pitcher Lee Loeffler. Loeffler, now 3-1, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 4, walking 4, and allowing 1 run.
Adam Ramsey hit a 2-run home run off Sibby Smith in the bottom of the second, which put the Wolves ahead, 2-0. In addition to the homer, Ramsey had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
Loeffler told a Toronto Times reporter that he was "very happy" with the win.
The Wolves saw their win-loss record go to 41-64. At the same time, the Foresters fell to 65-43. | |
