| Chiefs Suffer 5-0 Home Defeat | St. Louis Pioneers starter Lloyd Henson was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Chicago Chiefs, 5-0. Henson yielded no runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 8-4. St. Louis now sits at 34-39, while Chicago falls to 35-40.
The Pioneers got a big at-bat from right fielder Quinton Vincent. For the game, Vincent went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. In the top of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 13th double of the season gave St. Louis a 1-0 lead.
