| Minutemen Curb Clippers, 3-1 | Boston Minutemen starter Johnny Hall was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Baltimore Clippers, 3-1. The second-place Minutemen go to 39-31.
Boston used the clutch hitting of Jim Wise to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Minutemen the lead, 1-0. For the game, Wise had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"They played a better game than we did," said Baltimore skipper Hank Luckenbaugh. | |
