Late Rally Seals 4-3 Win for Wranglers
The Dallas Wranglers did just enough to sneak past the Chicago Cougars, 4-3, at Norris Stadium. Dallas pitcher Larry Perry, in particular, had a standout performance. Perry got the win, improving to 9-1. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 9 innings. He allowed 3 runs. The Wranglers now own a record of 38-30.

In the bottom of the ninth, with one out and the game tied, 3-3, former first round draft pick Joe Black won it for Dallas. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Black hit a 0-2 curveball from Jim Norris for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 4-3 win.

"The crowd flipped out," Black said.
