| Lorang Delivers Walk-Off Win for Cougars | The Chicago Cougars eked out a 2-1 win versus the Seattle Kings at Cougars Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Jim Norris. He was terrific. Chicago reliever Bill Jackson was credited with the win. His record goes to 1-1. John Bennet took the loss for Seattle. Chicago goes to 37-34, Seattle to 50-22.
Tom Lorang was the walk-off hero for Chicago. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cougars third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Seattle manager Alex Watt.
