| Stars Prevail, 5-3, Over Chicago | With right fielder Lou Allen leading the charge, the Los Angeles Stars defeated the Chicago Cougars, 5-3, at Bigsby Stadium. Allen, who is tied for 9th in the CA in home runs with 3, was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. Chicago drops to 7-6.
Making an impact for the home team was Floyd Warner. In the bottom of the sixth, the 25-year old right-handed pitcher had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 4-2, Stars.
"Getting the win feels nice," said Allen. "More importantly, I had a good game."
