| Saints Get Past Milwaukee for 3-2 Win | Milwaukee wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Joe Wright, falling to the Montreal Saints, 3-2. Wright threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. The winner was Montreal reliever Miguel Hernandez, now 4-5. The loser was Jim Hart. The last-place Saints go to 27-41.
Jim Smith was the walk-off hero for Montreal. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Saints pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place went bonkers," Smith said.
