| Imperials Squeeze By Milwaukee, 6-5 | The New York Imperials topped the Milwaukee Arrows, 6-5, with first baseman Woody Richardson playing a big role. Richardson went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Imperials in the win. Ed Cooper finished the game for New York and earned his 14th save. The Imperials sit in second place in the Continental Association East with a record of 34-33.
Richardson had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-0 sinker from Jim Hart, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Imperials a 6-5 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Richardson.
