Montreal Saints starter Hal Bennett was in midseason form, as he helped his team beat the Milwaukee Arrows, 3-1. Picking up his 10th save was 27-year old right-handed pitcher Miguel Hernandez. The last-place Saints go to 26-41.

The Arrows had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Saints going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old center fielder Joe Robertson came to the plate. Robertson hit a run-scoring triple on a 2-2 curveball from Milwaukee hurler Tex Cavanaugh. It was Robertson's 1st triple of the year.

"Hal threw the ball very, very well," said Montreal manager Harry Barrell.
