| Cleveland Tacks 6-3 Loss on Montreal | The 6-3 Cleveland win over Montreal was due in large part to John Piper. The Foresters right fielder was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 times. Cleveland, at 31-34, holds down 4th place in the Continental Association East.
With Cleveland leading 3-2 in the top of the fifth, Piper hit a run-scoring single off Montreal hurler Don Curtis. It was the 66th hit of the season for Piper and put his team ahead, 4-2.
