Cannons Pull Out Late-Game Win, 6-5 | The Cincinnati Cannons saddled the Cleveland Foresters with a loss at Forester Stadium. The final score was 6-5. Dallas Berry was 2 for 3, including 1 single and 1 home run. The Cincinnati left fielder scored 2 runs and drove in 1. Cincinnati is now 44-39.
Cincinnati used a timely hit from 24-year old left fielder Joe Case to get the win. The right fielder delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Cannons on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was huge.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Berry, "and then get after it again." | |
