Imperials Hang 4-3 Loss on Cannons
Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Cincinnati Cannons take on the New York Imperials.

The New York Imperials picked up a win at Tice Memorial Stadium II, dropping the Cincinnati Cannons, 4-3. Howie Weston was the difference-maker. With the win, New York goes to 35-32, while the Cannons fall to 33-33.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Bill Wood? The 31-year old left fielder Wood stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put New York up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 3, including 1 double and 1 single.

Weston called the win "a pick-me-upper."
