Humphrey, Wolves Put Clamps on Cannons
In a low-scoring game between the Toronto Wolves and the Cincinnati Cannons, pitcher Lee Humphrey was masterful on the mound. The Toronto left-hander spearheaded his team's 2-1 win. Ray Smith closed the door for Toronto, picking up his 5th save of the year. The Wolves go to 26-38 with the win.

Humphrey was the winner. He's now 5-6, after putting the Cincinnati offense in a vise grip. Over 8 innings, he gave up no runs on 4 hits, while racking up 6 Ks.

"Lee was aggressive right out of the chute," said Toronto manager Carl Evans.
