Cannons Drop Cougars, 7-6
Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Cannons beat the Cougars.

The Cincinnati Cannons defeated the Chicago Cougars, 7-6, at Tice Memorial Stadium II. Cincinnati was led by 33-year old right fielder Bryan Jeffress, who went 2-3 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Chicago, with the loss, is still a stout 3-1.

Art McKinney, who won the Kellogg Award in 1957, contributed to the Cincinnati win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Jeffress said.
