| Foresters Rally to Eke Out Win | The Cleveland Foresters had to overcome a fine effort from Milwaukee pitcher Tex Cavanaugh to win, 3-2, in 10 innings at Forester Stadium. Cavanaugh went 9 innings and allowed 2 runs. Charlie Sawyer, credited with the win in relief, is now 4-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. The 4th-place Foresters now have a win-loss record of 30-33.
The Foresters got a clutch hit from right fielder John Piper. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Foresters.
