| Saints Take Home 3-1 Win Over Cincinnati | The Montreal Saints got a strong performance from pitcher Hal Bennett, who stymied the Cincinnati offense en route to a win, 3-1, at Tice Memorial Stadium II. In 7.2 innings, Bennett surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Johnny Lyon collected save number 1.
Joe Robertson hit a run-scoring triple off Ace Barrell in the top of the fifth, which put the Saints in front, 2-1. Robertson had 2 singles, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 3 for 4.
Robertson attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
The loss makes Cincinnati 30-37.
