Sailors Solve Imperials, 3-2 | The skies opened up and the rain fell at Dyckman Stadium.
The San Francisco Sailors picked up a win at Dyckman Stadium, courtesy of Zane Kelley. The right-hander helped his team stop the New York Imperials, 3-2. New York falls to 0-4.
San Francisco won the game in part because of Edwin Hackberry. The right fielder ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Sailors ahead, 2-1. For the game, Hackberry had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Hackberry told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not." | |
