Streaking Eagles Win Another One, 8-7
The Washington Eagles defeated the New York Gothams, 8-7, in part because of shortstop Carlos Zamudio. Zamudio went 2-4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Eagles. The 5th-place Eagles have won 6 straight.

In the top of the sixth, the Eagles grabbed the lead when Zamudio hit his 11th double of the season. The bases-clearing double off Herb Isom made it 6-5, Washington.
