| Keystones Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Comets | Riding the 4-hit performance of the 30-year old shortstop Ed Walter, the Philadelphia Keystones stopped the Houston Comets, 3-0, in 9 innings. The save went to Jim Steuber, his 11th this season. Their 31-31 record puts the Keystones 4th in the Federal Association East.
Walter had a key at-bat for Philadelphia in the bottom of the second. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and gave Philadelphia an early 2-0 lead.
"I guess momentum is nice," said Keystones manager Charlie Leist, "but I don't believe in that stuff too much. You know we have to go play good baseball. We have to do what we do."
