| Chicago Hangs 6-2 Loss on Dallas | The home crowd had a good time watching the Dallas Wranglers and Chicago Cougars get after it.
The Chicago Cougars beat the Dallas Wranglers, 6-2, at Cougars Park. The win was due in part to right fielder Andy Babel, who went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Jim Norris, who led the FA in wins with 23 in 1955, was the winning pitcher. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 7 hits, with 4 walks and 3 strikeouts.
The Cougars got a big at-bat from first baseman John Baab. For the game, Baab went 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Chicago a 2-0 lead.
Baab attributed the win to his team's "determination."
