| Wolves Losers, 4-1, Versus Seattle | The Seattle Kings knocked off the Toronto Wolves, 4-1, in Continental Association action at Dominion Stadium. Seattle pitcher and St. Paul, Minnesota, native Charlie Rushing had an outstanding performance. Picking up the save was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Billy Collins. The second-place Kings go to 41-26.
Seattle took a 4-1 lead on Mike Griffith's 7th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Griffith hit in the top of the eighth, left Toronto pitcher Andy Masson visibly frustrated.
"Scoring runs is scoring runs," said Seattle skipper Alex Watt. "It's important to have different ways to do it." | |
