The New York Imperials topped the Los Angeles Stars, 4-1, in Continental Association action at Dyckman Stadium. The standout performance belonged to New York pitcher and East Grand Forks, Minnesota, native Chief Williams. Williams got the win, improving to 6-5. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. Ed Cooper wrapped it up, recording his 13th save.

Early in the game, right fielder Mike Counts had a solo home run for New York. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Imperials on top, 2-1.

Counts said afterward that "winning is the goal."
