Chiefs Snag 5-4 Win
The Chicago Chiefs did just enough to secure a victory over the Washington Eagles, 5-4, in 11 innings at Whitney Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Johnny Maples. The Chiefs have now won 5 straight.

The Chiefs got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Roy Johnson. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Chiefs.

"These kind of wins can be so good for a club's psyche," Chicago manager Ollie Howard said.
