| Suns Stop Copperheads, 6-4 | Pete Meissner, who is a two-time All-Star, was locked in. The left-hander led the Los Angeles Suns to a 6-4 win against the Atlanta Copperheads at Peachtree Stadium. Ben Turnage locked down his 2nd save. Los Angeles has a record of 40-24, placing them first in the Federal Association West.
Los Angeles took a 4-3 lead on Meissner's 1st triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which he hit off Jack Kotarski in the top of the seventh, propelled Los Angeles to the win.
"Awesome outing. Pete was on top of them all night long," said Los Angeles manager Jim Coulter.
