| Stars Drop Saints, 4-1 | The Montreal Saints went down to defeat to Sy Dunn and his Los Angeles teammates. The final score was 4-1, in favor of the Stars. Dunn yielded 1 run over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 8-3. Hank Myer collected save number 13.
Dunn contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Los Angeles in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Dunn took a slider from Jerry Duncan and stroked the home run to left-center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Stars to leap in front, 2-1.
"Anytime we get it going, it puts a smile on my face," said Dunn.
