New York picked up a win at Gotham Stadium, bumping off the Baltimore Clippers, 4-3. Pitcher Curtis Robinson was a major reason the Gothams emerged victorious. George Libby finished the game for New York and earned his 3rd save. The Gothams improved their record to 27-35 with the win over Baltimore.

Left Fielder George James made an impact for New York, when he swatted a 2-run double off Jose Martinez in the bottom of the third. For the contest, James went 2-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Baltimore manager Hank Luckenbaugh. "But we decided not to take it."
