| Boston Pins 6-2 Loss on Cannons | Boston took on Baltimore in front of a lively crowd.
The Boston Beacons got a marvelous performance from pitcher Austin Mayer. The right-hander kept the Baltimore offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 6-2 Boston victory at Timmons Park. Ed Ezzell locked down his 1st save.
Boston used the hitting of Bob Cutting to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Beacons on top, 2-0. For the game, Cutting had 1 home run and 3 singles in 5 at-bats.
"It feels good, just a great win all around," Cutting said after the game.
Boston is clipping along at 15-6.
