| Saints Win at Chicago, 6-3 | Behind a solid performance from right fielder Harry Swain, the Montreal Saints defeated the Chicago Cougars, 6-3. Swain was 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs for the Saints. Hi Craig earned save number 1 this season. The Cougars, 9-10, continue their sluggish start to the 1963 campaign.
Montreal used a well-timed hit by Art Robbins to capture the win. The shortstop socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Saints ahead, 5-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"I really like what we did out there today," Swain said after the game.
