Cleveland Shuts Out Wolves, Czerwinski Winner | Adrian Czerwinski came out firing strikes and, when the game ended, the Cleveland Foresters hurler had struck out 10, leading Cleveland past the Toronto Wolves, 8-0. Czerwinski allowed just 5 hits in the ballgame.
"I'm glad that one is in the rearview mirror," said Toronto manager Randy Hohlt.
To date, Czerwinski has a 10-2 mark in 17 starts with a 2.22 ERA. He has given up 105 hits in 130 innings, struck out 79 and issued 26 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .220 batting average against him. | |
