| Cougars Suffer 6-1 Road Loss | The Dallas Wranglers got a stellar effort from pitcher Jack Mead, helping Dallas score a win over the visiting Chicago Cougars, 6-1. Mead got the win, improving to 5-4. He gave up 5 hits and walked 0 over 9 innings. He allowed 1 run. Dallas is now 31-34, Chicago 35-30.
Nick Parker was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk for Dallas. The slugging first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off Pug White. It was his 78th hit of the season.
