Though he had a terrific game, Sam Morrison could not prevent his team, the Chicago Cougars, from absorbing a loss. Toronto won the game, 6-4. Morrison went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. The defeat makes Chicago 28-39.

Chick Reed delivered a big hit for Toronto. The first baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Wolves ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"Enjoyed this one," Reed told the Toronto Daily. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
