| Madden Masters Boston in Complete Game Win | The St. Louis Pioneers racked up a win at Minuteman Stadium, bumping off the Boston Minutemen, 5-1. Steve Madden, who started for St. Louis, pitched effectively for his team. St. Louis sits in first place in the Federal Association at 58-36.
Madden earned the win to move to 9-2. In his complete game performance, he allowed 1 run on 5 hits, striking out 6 and walking 4.
"Steve didn't beat around the bush," said St. Louis field general Lou Ormsby. "He was all business."
