| Eagles Run Win Streak to 6 | Washington right-hander Chris Brewer pitched his team to victory over the New York Gothams at Columbia Stadium. The final score was 6-4. The winner was Brewer. Washington first baseman George Whaley contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a fastball to right-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 22nd hit of the season and put the Eagles ahead, 5-2.
"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Brewer.
