The San Francisco Sailors topped the Cleveland Foresters by a score of 5-1. Leading the way was center fielder Ike Brown. Brown went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Sailors. Bob Briggs was the winner. Over 7 innings, he yielded 1 run on 9 hits, with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. Bert Alexander earned his 8th save, after closing out the game.

The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth. That's when Brown hit a 2-run home run off Roy Rice. It propelled the Sailors into the lead, 2-0.
