| Wolves Earn Clutch Win, 5-4 | Toronto beat Kansas City at Dominion Stadium, escaping with a 5-4 win. The win in large part was due to catcher Jess McPherson. He went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Wolves raised their record to 24-36.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, McPherson hit a sinker from Jack Turner for a run-scoring single. The Wolves, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"This game was intense," McPherson said, postgame.
