Cougars Handed 5-2 Loss by Toronto
Hank Lacey was locked in. The right-hander led the Toronto Wolves to a 5-2 win against the Chicago Cougars at Dominion Stadium. The Wolves sit in last place in the Continental Association with a record of 37-56.

The Cougars had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Wolves going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 12-year veteran Wally Boyer came to the plate. Boyer hit a run-scoring double on a 1-1 sinker from Chicago hurler Andy Logue. It was Boyer's 12th double of the year.

"I liked his command," said Toronto manager Jake Beck. "Hank was throwing strikes."
