Cincinnati center fielder Bonnie Chapin played a vital role in his team's 4-3 conquest of Los Angeles. He went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs for Cincinnati. Cincinnati is now 45-46, Los Angeles 55-37.

Cincinnati took a 4-3 lead on Chapin's 11th home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Cal Johnston in the bottom of the eighth, propelled Cincinnati to the win.
