| Suns Pull Out Late-Game Win, 6-5 | The Los Angeles Suns picked up a win at Wilshire Park, topping the Chicago Chiefs, 6-5. On the mound for Los Angeles was right-hander Red Burtch. He played a principal role in the triumph. The Suns improved to 62-85.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Los Angeles second baseman Roxy Hilts, facing Paul Magee, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Suns the 6-5 win.
"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Burtch. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
