| Millers Earn Late 3-2 Win | Bunny Mullins pitched well, but his team, the New York Gothams, still dropped a 3-2 decision to the Minneapolis Millers at Gotham Stadium. The win lifted the Minneapolis record to 33-30.
Clyde Allen contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the eighth. With a runner on 1st, he reached on an error by the 2B. His at-bat helped Minneapolis get the win.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Allen.
